Job positions filled

The Fresh Herb Co has a few flower farm positions available!

Be part of putting smiles on faces with locally grown flowers. The Fresh Herb Company, a well established small family farm in Boulder County, is now hiring for the 2018 season and is looking for strong and motivated candidates with interest in bedding plant and cut flower production.

The Fresh Herb Company produces culinary herb plants, flowering hanging baskets, succulents, and 15 acres of various annual and perennial cut flowers. Our markets include the Boulder County Farmers Markets, small and large grocers, independent garden centers, wholesale florists, and retail florists. We do not hire for one specific job.

The work is at times hard, hot, and physical, and requires candidates that can work the same. The work is also highly rewarding, offering candidates the opportunity to learn from the experiences of a small family business and grower who has been involved with local food and ornamental production and sales for over thirty years.

Job responsibilities vary with the season; greenhouse propagation of bedding plants, hanging baskets, and cut flower plugs in the early Spring, early weeding and transplanting to the fields in late Spring, cutting and preparation of flowers and bouquets from early June to frost, Asiatic and Oriental lily production from March through October, cut down and preparation for Winter in the Fall, as well as sales and delivery operations.

Pay ranges between $10 and $15/hour depending on experience. If you are interested in this kind of work and can dedicate your strength and determination to working with our team, we would love to hear from you. There are several flower farm positions available. Please send a note on why you think you would like to work on a plant and flower farm and why we should hire you. Email Chet Anderson.
